ALISON GOODMAN lives in Australia and is the award-winning author of six novels including her most recent release The Dark Days Pact, the second in a Regency supernatural trilogy, and EON and EONA, a New York Times bestselling fantasy duology. She is currently preparing the third Dark Days novel for publication and embarking on her PhD.

BRANDON SANDERSON’s novels include the Mistborn books, The Stormlight Archive—which includes his most recent instant bestseller Oathbringer—The Rithmatist, and Steelheart, among others. He completed the final volumes of Robert Jordan’s Wheel of Time series and is published in 35 languages. Brandon also teaches creative writing at Brigham Young University.

David D. Levine
DAVID D. LEVINE is the author of Andre Norton Award winning novel Arabella of Mars (Tor 2016), sequel Arabella and the Battle of Venus (Tor 2017), and over fifty SF and fantasy stories. His story “Tk’Tk’Tk” won the Hugo, and he has been shortlisted for awards including the Hugo, Nebula, Campbell, and Sturgeon. Stories have appeared in Asimov’s, Analog, F&SF, Tor.com, numerous Year’s Best anthologies, and his award-winning collection Space Magic.

FONDA LEE is the author of Jade City, which was a Nebula Award Finalist and named a Best Book of 2017 by NPR, Barnes & Noble, Syfy Wire, and others. Her award-winning young adult science fiction novels include Zeroboxer, Exo and Cross Fire. Fonda is a recovering corporate strategist, black belt martial artist, and an action movie aficionado living in Portland, Oregon.

JULIET E. MCKENNA has always loved history, myth and other worlds. Richard K. Morgan
RICHARD K. MORGAN is the award-winning author of The Dark Defiles, The Cold Commands, The Steel Remains, Black Man, Woken Furies, Market Forces, Broken Angels, and Altered Carbon, a New York Times Notable Book that won the Philip K. Dick Award in 2003. Altered Carbon is now a Netflix series. Market Forces was also optioned and won the John W. Campbell Award in 2005. Richard has lived and worked in Madrid, Istanbul, Ankara, London and Glasgow. He now lives in back the UK with his Spanish wife Virginia and son Daniel, about five miles from where he grew up – a bit weird that, but he’s dealing with it.

Sarah Beth Durst
SARAH BETH DURST is the award-winning author of sixteen fantasy books for kids, teens, and adults, including The Stone Girl’s Story, Drink Slay Love, and The Queens of Renthia series. She won an ALA Alex Award and a Mythopoeic Fantasy Award, and has been a finalist for SFWA’s Andre Norton Award three times.

Tananarive Due is an author, educator and screenwriter who has won an American Book Award, a British Fantasy Award and an NAACP Image Award. She teaches Afrofuturism and Black Horror at UCLA and in the creative writing MFA program at Antioch University Los Angeles. She has received a Lifetime Achievement Award in the Fine Arts from the Congressional Black Congress.

Martha Wells, Kate Elliott, and Jim C. Hines will be discussing writing violence against women in the fantasy genre and answering questions live at the first Read for Pixels Google Hangout Author Panel Session at 8.30pm EST on September 8h 2018 (Saturday).
MARTHA WELLS is the author of over a dozen science fiction and fantasy novels, including the Books of the Raksura series, Star Wars: Razor’s Edge, and the Nebula-nominated The Death of the Necromancer, as well as short stories, nonfiction, and YA fantasy. Her books have been published in seven languages.
KATE ELLIOTT has been writing stories since she was nine years old, which has led her to believe that writing, like breathing, keeps her alive. Her twenty-four science fiction and fantasy books include COLD MAGIC, SPIRIT GATE, KING’S DRAGON, JARAN, and her YA debut COURT OF FIVES. A new epic fantasy, BLACK WOLVES, will be published in November. She lives in Hawaii with her spouse, paddles outrigger canoes, and nurses along an aging Schnauzer.
Jim C. Hines
JIM C. HINES is the author of the Magic ex Libris series, the Princess series of fairy tale retellings, the humorous Goblin Quest trilogy, and the Fable Legends tie-in Blood of Heroes. His latest novel is Terminal Alliance, book one in the humorous science fiction Janitors of the Post-Apocalypse trilogy. He’s an active blogger about topics ranging from sexism and harassment to zombie-themed Christmas carols, and won the 2012 Hugo Award for Best Fan Writer. He lives with his wife and two children in mid-Michigan.
